I am a mama of two babies under two and have used a combination of breastfeeding and pumping with both of my children. With my first son, we stored breast milk in 4 and 8 ounce mason jars then fed him straight from the mason jars by attaching a mason bottle nipple. Danger of storing breast milk in plastics

Sure, for a very short short time this is not going to cause detrimental harm to the body. However, when foods are stored for longer amounts of time and then even warmed inside the plastic container, the real healthy problems occur.This is why I chose to avoid those thin plastic breast milk storage bags!
I prefer not to warm any of the foods we eat inside plastic (we don’t own a microwave anyways), much less my precious breast milk that my young child will be consuming.

Storage Capacity of the junobie bags
The Junobie breast milk storage bags have an 8 ounce capacity. However, when freezing milk in them, it is recommended to only freeze 6 ounces at a time to allow for expansion. The bags are clearly labeled which makes storing the perfect amount of milk a breeze each time!
Junobie bags are also great for storing items other than milk! A few things I can think of are pacifiers, utensils, snacks, keys, the options are endless once you are finished using them for milk!
Freezer and REFRIGERATOR storage
Junobie bags will stand up on their own or lay flat with no leaks! This make them perfect to stand up in your fridge (always put breast milk in the back of your fridge to keep it very cold) or to lay flat in your freezer!
The bags take up minimal room and are actually quite beautiful when stored! They also definitely take up much less space than the mason jars I previously stored my breast milk in!
To store, carefully hold the bag with one hand, and slide the slider off with the other. Pour milk inside and slide the slider back! Super simple and so convenient!
Thawing and warming milk in the junobie bags
Thawing frozen milk or warming refrigerated milk could not be easier or safer in the Junobie silicone bag.
Our two favorite methods for warming milk are a warm bowl of water or a bottle warmer.
If using a warm bowl of water, simply submerge the lower half of Junobie bag in the water and let it warm up for approximately 5 minutes.
The bottle warmer takes all of the guesswork out of warming milk since you simply turn the knob to the desired setting for frozen or refrigerated milk and the bag of milk will be warmed in no time.
Simply transfer the warmed milk to your baby’s bottle and serve!
Warming in plastic bags causes even more harmful toxins to leak into your breastmilk and should be avoided if at all possible!
Writing on THe junobie Bags
Another unique feature of the bags is that you can write directly on them. You can use either dry erase ink or even a permanent marker. To wipe away simply use a wet rag to remove dry erase and an alcohol pad to remove the permanent marker.
How to Clean the junobie bags
Junobie bags (minis the lock slider top) are dishwasher safe in the top rack! You can also hand wash them with a bottle brush the let them air dry on a bottle rack.
