A Place to Finally Call Home
After getting married and bringing home our baby boy just ten months later, we never truly felt “at home” or where God had planned for us to be. When our son was just two months old, the Lord led us to our farmhouse dream home!
Fun fact: The FIRST weekend I met Tyler he shared with me his dreams of owning land to farm, work, and to hunt with his future children. He wanted to raise babies outdoors and teach them about working the land.
In October of 2019, we officially claimed this fixer upper farmhouse as our own; complete with twenty acres, a fruit and pecan tree orchard, two fishing ponds, and my dream wrap around porch!
We took on a major fixer upper!
We are in love with the bones of our new home, just not so much the 90’s layout and design. Our plans include knocking down walls, gutting and renovating the entire kitchen, designing a complete master suite, and redesigning the overall look and layout to make it ours!
My outdoor-loving husband began working outdoors removing trees that were too close to the home, installing an entry gate, making a garden spot, and landscaping. Our family spends most of our time outdoors so naturally he started there. However, I am counting down the days until I get to see some changes happening on the interior!
Riggs and I help as often as we can, but my hard-working, talented husband will be the backbone of all of our DIY projects and renovations! Our little family is enjoying every minute working on this beautiful piece of land we now call home!
